No, I'm not talking about the extras casting that went on last week. I'm talking major role here!

Today's Internet rumor is that Katie Holmes is set to star in the next ‘Sex and the City’ movie. The ‘Batman Begins’ actress has reportedly been approached to take on the role of a feisty New York businesswoman who infuriates Kim Cattrall’s man-eating character Samantha Jones in the forthcoming sequel.

“The character they want her to play is a really ballsy, high-powered company executive who tangles with Samantha.”

Katie has taken on less major film roles since giving birth to daughter Suri, now two, to focus on raising her child with husband Tom Cruise. If she accepts the part, the 30-year-old actress will start shooting with the movie’s other stars - Kim, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - in the autumn in readiness for a May 2010 release.

Katie is currently on location in Australia shooting ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’.

A newly single Kim Kardashian was spotted taking a little time for herself and enjoying a Mani-Pedi in Beverly Hills yesterday afternoon, before appearing later that evening on 'It's On With Alexa Chung'. Kim and boyfriend Reggie Bush broke up a few days ago and Fox News is reporting Kanye West is behind the split. A source tells Fox News

“Reggie saw text messages on Kim’s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her. The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie’s imagination running. When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident surfaced. They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward."

Kanye and Kim's reps did not comment.

Kim has recently been keeping herself busy making a appearances and filming new episodes of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”

Remember yesterday when we commented on the red suit Penelope Cruz wore to the 'Broken Embraces' premiere in London? Well, it turns out the only reason why she wore the outfit is because her suitcase was lost on her way to the UK. Since she had no clothes, the actress had to wear the stunning red Bottega Veneta trouser suit because it was the only thing she brought on the flight with her!

The movie’s director Pedro Almodovar joked:

“I think someone took it. I think it was taken by someone with a fetish!”

Despite the wardrobe setback, Penelope was delighted to be in the UK but admitted she has difficulty coping with the unpredictable climate. The 35-year-old screen beauty confessed she had even prayed for the day to stay dry ahead of the film’s open air screening. Speaking at London’s Somerset House, Penelope told BANG Showbiz:

"I love London... but I have difficulties with the rainy weather. “I have decided it is not going to rain, I was here for many months this year making a movie and I love London, but I have trouble with grey weather so I said, ‘No, please, not today.’ So hopefully it's going to stay like this.”

Carrie Prejean filed a lawsuit against Miss California directors Keith Lewis and Shanna Moakler, as well as K2 Productions, Inc. The suit alleges slander, libel, public disclosure of private facts, religious discrimination, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and negligent infliction of emotional distress. We expected a wrongful discharge as well, but it appears that Prejean’s attorney agrees she violated her contract, which justified her discharge (firing).

While Prejean may feel this lawsuit has merit, we believe she should just lick her wounds and move on. The career opportunity Prejean could have had may be lost as she wallows in the past.

Debbie Rowe and Katherine Jackson reached a deal where Katherine will have full custody of the three children in Michael Jackson’s custody at the time of his death, including the two oldest children whom Rowe claims are her biological children. Attorney Eric George said on behalf of Rowe:

"The parties engaged in a dignified discussion that resulted in a dignified outcome. The sole consideration between the parties was the best interests of the children. I’m proud to have worked with such professionals who represented Ms. Jackson, and I am particularly proud of Deborah for her integrity and selflessness."

Katherine Jackson’s attorneys, L. Londell McMillan and Diane Goodman, said:

"Mrs. Jackson and the family are pleased this matter is resolved and was handled in a caring, thoughtful and courteous manner by the parties and their representatives. We were all united in our goals to do what is best for Michael’s wonderful children, and both Mrs. Jackson and Debbie Rowe were on the exact same page. Accordingly, although important issues had to be resolved, this was no legal contest but rather simply a process doing the right thing for the right reasons."

Under the terms of the parties’ agreement:

Katherine Jackson shall be the guardian for the minor children.

Deborah Rowe shall exercise visitation rights with the two oldest children, Prince, 11, and Paris, 12. The timing, frequency and manner of visits shall be implemented according to the best interests of the children, as determined by a child psychologist selected jointly, and paid jointly, by Katherine Jackson and Deborah Rowe.

The parties have neither sought nor agreed to any compensation to be exchanged, apart from the continuation of spousal support payments that had previously been personally agreed to between Michael Jackson and Deborah Rowe.

As long as Rowe keeps getting her checks she won’t make any trouble, and she also will not give up her parental rights as so many reports falsely claimed. Her parental rights guarantee her income.

There was a lot of speculation that Janet Jackson would get custody of the children, which could still happen if Katherine dies before all the children reach 18 years-old.

There has been some controversy surrounding another Jude Law (36) Child. Samantha Burke (24) has come forward to reveal she is pregnant with Jude Law’s fourth child. She said in a statement:

"Ms. Burke can confirm that she did in fact have a relationship with Mr. Law and that she has informed Mr. Law that she is expecting his child later this fall. Since informing Mr. Law of the pregnancy, he has been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy."

"Mr. Law and Ms. Burke are committed to the health, safety and wellbeing of this child throughout the pregnancy and after the child is born. This remains a private matter and Ms. Burke would hope that out of respect, the media will allow her to prepare for the birth of her child in privacy."

Reports indicate paternity was determined via a DNA test. Law has three other children with Sadie Frost. The Burke pregnancy may have occurred while Law was filming Sherlock Holmes in London.

Burke is an aspiring actress and model, who has given her career a boost by getting impregnated by an A-List actor. Burke has a supposed registry at Babies R Us that says she is expecting a girl in October who will be named Sohpia.
